Kiss Number 8

Mads has a comfortable routine: church with her family, baseball games with her father and time with her best friend, Cat. Adam, the boy next door, would like to kiss her, but Mads is beginning to understand that he is not the person she wants. Her feelings for Cat arrive alongside suspicions that her father is hiding something important. As family secrets unsettle what she thought she knew, Mads must sort through desire, loyalty and the messages she has absorbed about sexuality. Colleen AF Venable and Ellen T. Crenshaw’s graphic novel follows a teenager discovering that loving her family does not mean accepting every assumption she inherited.
