If You Still Recognize Me

Elsie intends to spend the summer telling her long-distance crush Ada how she feels. Their shared fandom has made Ada seem like the person who understands her best. Then Joan, Elsie's childhood friend, returns after years away in Hong Kong, bringing unanswered questions about the letters and emails she never acknowledged. When Elsie learns that Ada's grandmother once had an important pen pal near Oxford, she sees an opportunity for a romantic gesture of her own. Searching for that woman becomes a journey through lost connections across generations. As old friendships reopen and new possibilities emerge, Elsie must reconsider which relationship she is actually hoping to recover.
