If Tomorrow Doesn't Come

Avery Byrne is keeping several parts of herself hidden: her queerness, her love for her best friend Cass and the depth of her depression. On a day when she reaches a personal crisis, the world receives another devastating announcement. An asteroid is approaching, leaving humanity only nine days. Avery resolves to remain with the people she loves through the time they have left, but doing so means confronting feelings and truths she has long avoided. The approaching catastrophe gives urgency to conversations that once seemed impossible. Alongside its speculative premise, the novel follows a young woman seeking support, speaking honestly and considering what hope can mean when the future has become radically uncertain.
