Heartstrings

Financial planner Mira Collins is accustomed to managing responsibilities, but caring for her ten-year-old nephew Ben after her sister Vannah leaves demands something less predictable than professional competence. Ben’s violin lessons introduce Mira to Shelby Tanner, a newly qualified teacher whose outlook differs from her own. Their growing attraction develops alongside the needs of a child whose home life is already unsettled. Age and temperament complicate the relationship, while Vannah’s possible return raises questions about how secure Mira’s new family arrangement can be. Mira and Shelby must work out what they can offer one another without treating the rest of their lives as temporary obstacles. Their romance grows through care, uncertainty and shared responsibility.
