Giovanna

Giovanna belongs to a powerful Sydney crime family, where loyalty is expected and personal desire can become a liability. Her brother is the boss, and Francesca is the woman he is supposed to marry. Francesca’s return after eight years unsettles an arrangement that should have been straightforward: she is now an adult, and Giovanna’s feelings for her are impossible to fit within the family’s plans. Acting on that attraction would cross both intimate and political boundaries. As the women are drawn together, the demands of an arranged marriage make their choices increasingly dangerous. The opening Marino Famiglia novel places a forbidden romance inside a family whose power depends on obedience.
