Everything Leads to You

Emi Price has a film-design internship, access to her brother's Los Angeles apartment and a summer that ought to feel full of possibility. Getting over an on-and-off relationship with her ex-girlfriend is the less easily organised part of the plan. When Emi and her best friend find a mysterious letter among a Hollywood actor's possessions, following its clues introduces them to Ava and a family history that has remained hidden. Emi knows how to create a convincing world on a set, but knowing another person requires a different kind of attention. This young-adult romance brings movie-making, friendship and a search through Hollywood's past together as Emi discovers how little real intimacy follows a carefully arranged scene.
