Death Wish

Amory Ng has spent more than a century guiding souls beyond the mortal world, with no memory of the life she lost. A pottery class offers a welcome break from that routine, until Clementine Lim appears. Clem is the one soul Amory never successfully reaped, now a vampire who wants her unfinished death resolved. Amory agrees to help, seeing a chance to correct her solitary professional failure. Spending time with Clem complicates the arrangement, especially as attraction gives Amory new reasons to enjoy existence. Their growing intimacy is interrupted by the violence of the vampire who made Clem. Stopping him means working together while confronting the very different futures they originally wanted.
