But Not Too Bold

The keeper of the keys is dead, and Dália must take her place in the Capricious House. Her duties include tending the drawers that hold the memories of its mistress, Anatema: an enormous, unpredictable spider woman whose taste for beautiful brides has fatal consequences. Dália's predecessor was killed for a crime, and understanding what happened could be essential to surviving the same position. Yet investigation is only part of the danger. The closer Dália comes to the lady of the house, the harder it becomes to keep attraction separate from self-preservation. This gothic fantasy novella follows a new keeper learning the rules of an intimate and profoundly unequal household.
