Balancing Act

Jamie Lyons once competed as an Olympic gymnast, but a diagnosis seven years ago changed the direction of her life. She has kept much of that experience private, until a favour for a friend brings her back into a setting she cannot approach without its weight. Beth Walsh returns after a year-long art tour with her teenage daughter, Lily, and her own responsibilities as a single parent. Meeting Jamie creates the possibility of a relationship alongside the demands already shaping both women’s lives. Their attraction develops around questions of family, work, and how much of the past can be shared. Moving closer means making room for a future neither woman can plan entirely alone.
