At First Glance

Faye Holmes writes passionate romances while living a quiet, controlled life that contains little of their excitement. Writer's block makes the distance between her work and her experience feel even greater. A friend's celebration gift introduces her to a striking pole dancer whose eyes seem unexpectedly familiar. The dancer, Talia, already knows Faye as a customer at the coffee shop where she works under her own name. Keeping that everyday identity separate from her stage persona has helped Talia feel safe. Their attraction begins crossing the boundary between those worlds, bringing possibility as well as exposure. Becoming close means confronting what each woman has chosen to keep hidden from other people.
