Blair and her husband, David, disagree about how to become parents. She would prefer adoption, while he wants a biological child, and their search for a solution introduces Blair to Kylie. Friendship with Kylie offers a new source of understanding as tensions within Blair’s marriage deepen. It also creates questions that Blair has not previously needed to ask about herself. Kylie is gay; Blair has always understood her own life through a different set of expectations.
