Afterparty

In a near future where drugs can be printed at home, a compound called Numinous promises its users an encounter with the divine. Lyda Rose knows its effects intimately: she helped create it, and an overdose has left her with a companion she understands to be a product of her altered brain. When a young patient's death reveals that Numinous is circulating again, Lyda leaves institutional care to find the people responsible. An ex-government agent joins a journey that leads back toward her former colleagues and their shared history. Following the drug across North America means confronting both its consequences and the unreliable perceptions through which Lyda must interpret them.
