Life inside Wentworth prison is governed by official rules and an unstable set of alliances among the women who live there. Bea Smith enters this world without the experience to protect herself, while Franky Doyle already understands how influence can be won and lost. Their stories expand into an ensemble shaped by survival, loyalty and the need for connection. Substantial sapphic relationships are part of that fabric, including Franky’s relationship with psychologist Bridget and Bea’s connection with Allie. Different seasons center different women and pairings, so the series offers several distinct entry points rather than one uninterrupted romance running across its entire history.
