Detective Amy Silva investigates a death aboard a nuclear submarine while Kirsten Longacre follows the evidence on land. Restricted access, competing loyalties and pressure from powerful institutions make the case increasingly dangerous. Later investigations take the detectives into new military and political settings. Amy and Kirsten’s relationship continues across the series, connecting the professional stakes to decisions about trust, family and whose career comes first.
