Estranged sisters Emma and Lyn return to East Los Angeles after their mother’s death and discover that the life she left behind is more complicated than they knew. Her marriage to Eddy unsettles their understanding of their family, while the neighbourhood bar draws them into questions of ownership, belonging and change. Emma’s own queer life and her developing relationship with Nico become central personal threads. The drama brings sexuality and intimacy into a wider portrait of two sisters deciding what to keep, what to confront and what kind of future they can build.
