The murder of teenager Reena Virk unsettles a British Columbia community and draws writer Rebecca Godfrey into the lives of the girls surrounding the case. Police officer Cam Bentland approaches the investigation from another direction, carrying personal history that complicates her connection with Rebecca. Their fictionalized relationship forms one part of a larger examination of violence, belonging and the failures of adults. This limited crime drama includes a substantial queer relationship without making romance its main subject. Sapphic storyline: Cam and Rebecca in the single limited-series season. Their relationship is fictionalized.
