Elodie arrives at a new school carrying grief, uncertainty and a shoplifting habit she cannot easily explain. A support group brings her together with Moe and Tabitha, two girls whose outwardly different lives conceal problems of their own. Their unlikely friendship becomes a source of solidarity as secrets, school pressures and family difficulties collide. Elodie's romantic life is a substantial part of the story, including her connection with musician Sabine and a later relationship with Jillian. As one of the three central characters, she has room to be a queer teenager whose life includes much more than romance. The series balances those relationships with the changing trust between its core trio.
