In Genoa City, family life and business are so closely connected that a personal disagreement can become a much larger battle. The Newmans, Abbotts and the people around them navigate rivalries, secrets and relationships shaped by long shared histories. Mariah Copeland and musician Tessa Porter have their own substantial place in that world, with a romance and marriage developed over multiple years of the soap. Their story brings questions of trust, commitment and family into an ensemble that is constantly finding new reasons to take sides. This is a continuing community drama, with sapphic love forming an established part of its wider network of relationships.
