A group of teenage girls survives a plane crash and must learn to live together on an isolated island. Finding food and shelter is only part of the challenge: each girl arrives with experiences that shape how she responds to authority, friendship and fear. Toni and Shelby appear to have very little in common, but their uneasy connection grows into a romance that changes how they understand each other. Shelby’s background makes acknowledging her feelings difficult, while Toni is wary of the judgments she has learned to expect. Their story develops across both seasons within a survival mystery that pays close attention to the lives the girls had before the island.
