Luz finds a doorway into a strange magical world and decides that becoming a witch is worth the trouble it will bring. Under the guidance of the rebellious Eda, she builds friendships and a place for herself among creatures who do not always fit the rules either. Her changing connection with Amity grows from an uneasy beginning into an important romance as the adventure develops. This animated fantasy balances magical danger and found family with a young bisexual heroine’s relationship with another girl.
