Stef and Lena Adams Foster have built a household where biological, adopted and foster children share the same complicated family life. Welcoming new children means making room for histories and needs that cannot be solved by good intentions alone. As the teenagers navigate school, romance and the care system, their mothers face questions about marriage, work and the limits of their ability to protect everyone. This family drama keeps a lesbian couple at the centre of the home, exploring the ordinary disagreements and determined acts of care that hold it together.
