A couple’s settled life is disrupted by a new arrival whose appeal makes their private boundaries increasingly difficult to maintain. In the second series, Charlotte and her husband Jacob are drawn toward Mia, creating a triangle in which desire and trust are closely entangled. Charlotte’s connection with Mia gives this season a substantial sapphic strand within its broader erotic thriller. The series tells different stories across seasons, so this relationship belongs specifically to the second instalment rather than to the first season’s characters.
