In a world where superheroes are managed like celebrities, a powerful corporation sells heroism while concealing the harm behind its most valuable brands. A group of outsiders tries to expose the system, drawing its damaged stars into increasingly dangerous conflicts. Queen Maeve’s relationship with Elena becomes particularly significant in the second season, when private love is pulled into a hostile public narrative. The series uses that story to explore control and the commercial packaging of identity within a much broader, violent satire of power, celebrity and institutional impunity.
