Two comedians share a home, a relationship and the challenge of making a living by standing in front of strangers. Cameron and Rhea’s different places in their careers create tensions that cannot always be turned into material, even when comedy is how they make sense of the world. Their domestic routine and the underground showcase they host bring work and love into constant contact. Across two seasons, the series follows the ordinary negotiations behind a partnership: finding space for individual ambition, being present for someone else and deciding what commitment requires. Its central relationship is sapphic, while the performers and their fictionalized characters remain distinct.
