Joanne has enough trouble getting her beer league softball team to win a game before her girlfriend leaves her for a rival side. Suddenly, a championship becomes a way to prove something much more personal. The Brovaries have enthusiasm, friendship and a reliable thirst for postgame drinks, but turning those qualities into victories takes work. As Joanne tries to hold the team together, money problems and romantic complications keep changing the score. This Canadian mockumentary follows a queer community whose ambitions often exceed its preparation, finding comedy in the effort to support each other while making a spectacular mess of the season.
