Harper thinks she has reached a promising new stage in her lesbian life when her mother announces a queer awakening of her own. Val’s enthusiasm unsettles the boundaries between their generations and challenges Harper’s assumption that she knows how this part of adulthood is supposed to work. With roommate Devon nearby, conversations about dating become conversations about family, experience and who gets to offer advice. The web series finds comedy in a mother and daughter navigating overlapping communities from very different starting points. Their relationship remains a family bond, while each woman’s romantic life gives her reasons to reconsider what she has taken for granted about herself and the other.
