A woman with gaps in her memory searches for the truth about her identity in a near-future world where biotechnology has created dangerous possibilities. As other lives become entangled with hers, the answers point toward decisions made in the name of love and the costs of trying to undo loss. Kira Manning and Eleanor’s marriage is central to the mystery’s emotional foundations. Their relationship gives the science-fiction thriller a substantial sapphic strand without turning every character’s connection into romance. Sapphic storyline: Kira and Eleanor in season 1. Lucy and Kira are not a romantic couple.
