Cleaners Desi and Cata accept a job that promises a way out of immediate financial trouble, only to discover a body in the home they have just made spotless. Suddenly, their careful work looks like evidence against them. Pursued and short of allies, the two women must depend on each other while trying to uncover who has set them up. Desi’s history with police officer Irene complicates their search for help. Their relationship sits within a fast-moving crime comedy centred on friendship and survival. Sapphic storyline: Desi and Irene in season 1. Desi and Cata are friends, not a romantic couple.
