A Pearl Harbor-based NCIS team investigates crimes where military responsibilities meet the particular demands of island life. Under Jane Tennant’s leadership, the agents balance urgent cases with the relationships that sustain and challenge them. Lucy Tara and Kate Whistler begin with professional friction and an intimate history, making their connection one of the ensemble’s continuing personal stories. Their relationship is present from the first season, while the series remains a case-driven drama about a larger investigative team. Sapphic storyline: Lucy and Kate throughout seasons 1–3.
