Jen and Mandy are tired of watching celebrity culture reward the wrong people, so they decide to make its worst instincts work for them. Their plan involves a manufactured sex tape, an imagined shortcut to fame and considerably less practical judgment than either woman believes she possesses. As their scheme develops, the friendship behind it becomes tangled with desire, insecurity and the gap between performing confidence and actually having it. This short-form queer comedy uses the pursuit of attention as a way into two messy personal lives. Its characters may think they understand the rules of notoriety, but the story keeps returning to the relationships they risk while trying to become somebody worth watching.
