Sophie and her friends navigate New York friendships, work and uncertain romantic choices while a future version of Sophie looks back on the events that led her to meet her son’s father. Their intertwined lives turn missed connections and small decisions into a larger story about finding a place in the city. Ellen arrives after a divorce, hoping to establish herself while adjusting to a new social world. Her dating experiences and relationship with Rachel make queer romance part of the group’s ongoing story. The comedy gives Ellen space to be awkward, hopeful and imperfect as she learns what she wants from a fresh start.
