A body on a Cape Cod beach pulls fisheries officer Jackie Quiñones toward a murder investigation and away from any easy separation between work and her own unstable life. As she pursues answers, addiction and the local drug trade expose a darker side of a holiday destination. Jackie’s sexuality and relationships are part of the series throughout its run, including a complicated connection with fellow officer Leslie in the second season. This is a crime drama led by a messy lesbian protagonist. Sapphic lead: Jackie throughout seasons 1–3. Her romance with Leslie is a season 2 arc.
