An angel who loves a quiet bookshop and a demon who prefers a fast car have grown unusually fond of life on Earth. When celestial plans threaten the world they have made their home, their uneasy alliance becomes increasingly difficult to explain to either side. The second season brings a new mystery to their London neighbourhood, where record-shop owner Maggie is drawn to café owner Nina. Their tentative connection becomes entangled with supernatural attempts at matchmaking, even as Nina must confront the problems in her existing relationship. Human affection and heavenly interference collide in a fantasy comedy about choosing whom to trust and what kind of life is worth protecting.
