A forgotten girl group gets an unexpected chance at a comeback, sending its surviving members back toward the pop careers they thought were behind them. Dawn, Wickie, Summer and Gloria must fit renewed ambition around the lives they have built since their brief moment of fame. For Gloria, that includes reckoning with her past and her relationship with Caroline. The musical comedy makes room for a developed lesbian storyline within a larger celebration of friendship, ridiculous songs and starting over in middle age.
