A murder unsettles a small Tasmanian town and brings local detective Dulcie Collins into a difficult partnership with an outsider. Their investigation cuts through community loyalties, long-held resentments and the ways people decide who belongs. Dulcie’s marriage to Cath and her place in the town’s queer community are integral to her life beyond the case. The crime comedy follows a lesbian protagonist; its two investigating detectives are colleagues, rather than a romantic pairing.
