Two teenage ghosts solve supernatural cases while avoiding the forces that want to move them into the afterlife. Their human companions find shelter above the butcher shop run by guarded, sharp-tongued Jenny Green. A secret admirer offers Jenny a chance at intimacy, and an arranged date becomes an important supporting story within the season. The pairing with Maxine provides the sapphic focus; it should be described separately from the larger series’ queer male leads and the different relationships explored around them.
