Control Z

An anonymous hacker begins exposing students’ private lives, overturning the social order at a privileged Mexican school. As Sofía tries to identify who is behind the attacks, secrets become tools that can be traded, withheld or used to control other people. Alex’s hidden relationship with biology teacher Gabriela gives that threat particularly unequal consequences. Their connection involves an adult’s professional authority as well as a student’s desire for intimacy, making secrecy more than a matter of embarrassment. The relationship and its fallout form a recurring strand within the wider mystery. Other students’ identities and choices become vulnerable in different ways as the school struggles to distinguish accountability from cruelty. Sapphic storyline seasons: S1–2 primarily: Alex/Gabriela's secret relationship and its consequences. Teacher/student power imbalance retained; separate from other characters' gender and sexuality stories.
