Emma has never felt completely at home in the Danish town where a famous meteor strike is the center of local identity. Questioning that familiar story brings her into contact with other young people who suspect the place is hiding something. Their investigation creates a new circle of friendships while drawing attention from people with reasons to keep the past settled. Emma's connection with Marie becomes an important romantic strand, complicated by her growing closeness with Frederik. The six-part science-fiction mystery places that triangle alongside questions about belonging and trust. As Emma looks for explanations outside herself, she also has to decide what she wants from the people who make her feel less alone.
