After their mother's death, Mel and Maggie Vera discover both an older sister and a magical inheritance that changes what they thought they knew about their family. Learning to work together as witches brings danger into every part of their lives. For lesbian co-lead Mel, protecting the people she loves also complicates the honesty and intimacy her relationships need. Her romantic story changes over the four seasons, from her connection with detective Niko to later partners, while sisterhood remains the adventure's centre. This reboot has its own characters and continuity, separate from the earlier Charmed series. Sapphic storyline seasons: S1–4 for lesbian co-lead Mel; Niko/Jada S1, Ruby S2–3, Roxie S4. Separate reboot from Charmed (1998).
