Broad City

Abbi and Ilana tackle New York with little money, unreliable plans and an enormous amount of loyalty to each other. Their friendship survives humiliating jobs, awkward encounters and the everyday disasters they often help create. Ilana's bisexuality is part of her exuberant approach to life, while Abbi's later relationship with doctor Leslie opens a new chapter in how she understands her own desires. That change also unsettles the familiar rhythm between the friends. Their central bond remains friendship, with queer attraction and identity woven into a comedy about making a life on imperfect terms. Sapphic storyline seasons: Ilana is bisexual throughout; Abbi/Leslie is a developed S5 arc. Abbi/Ilana are friends, not a canonical couple.
