Two estranged siblings receive recordings from their late mother that reveal a life far more complicated than the one they knew. As her story moves across countries and decades, Benny Bennett must also confront the distance between her own identity and her family’s expectations. Her bisexuality and relationship history are meaningful parts of that reckoning. A parallel strand follows Bunny Pringle, whose love for another woman shapes her private life. The series offers interconnected sapphic experiences within a family mystery, rather than one central couple or a conventional romance. Its qualifying scope is the single 2023 season.
