Private investigators and law enforcement confront crimes hidden beneath Montana’s open landscapes and small-town connections. Season two introduces Max and Harper, teenagers whose discovery of dangerous evidence pulls their friendship into a world of criminal threats. Their growing attraction develops alongside the pressure to protect each other and keep a frightening secret. This is a supporting romance within a sprawling thriller, with the crime plot taking most of the screen time. The relevant viewing scope is season two; the presence of queer characters elsewhere should not be mistaken for the same continuing couple storyline.
