Alice and Veronica have achieved the pop success they wanted, just as the relationship behind their band begins to fall apart. Breaking up should let them move on, but a shared career turns every rehearsal, publicity appearance and new creative partnership into unfinished personal business. Their manager has reasons to keep the act together, and a new collaborator makes the situation still less tidy. The comedy follows women whose public chemistry is easier to sell than their private happiness is to sustain. Over two seasons, its central sapphic relationships explore jealousy, ambition and the peculiar difficulty of finding independence when your livelihood depends on being half of a duo.
