At an isolated boarding-school campus, teenage girls learn how quickly friendship can become a contest for power. Years later, Jo’s encounter with Portia reopens the emotional damage and complicated desire bound up in their adolescence. Sapphic storyline seasons: Four-part limited series; Jo/Portia’s relationship and its aftermath drive the story across teenage and adult timelines. Not a feel-good romance.
