A dysfunctional team of spies attempts dangerous assignments while continually derailing one another’s lives. Pam Poovey often handles the chaos with a combination of blunt confidence and unexpected competence. In the thirteenth season, her connection with Swiss operative Alessia develops into a recurring relationship, giving Pam a romantic thread beyond the show’s usual one-liners and hookups. The pairing brings a more sustained sapphic element to that season, though the surrounding series remains an adult animated espionage comedy with an ensemble cast.
