Retired tennis coaches Joy and Stan Delaney appear ready to enjoy life after decades spent building their academy and raising four children. The arrival of an injured young stranger disrupts that comfortable picture. When Joy subsequently disappears, the adult Delaney siblings must reconsider their parents' marriage and the loyalties holding their family together. The investigation draws out resentments, romantic complications and competing versions of events. Brooke's relationship with her fiancée Gina, and her involvement with Savannah, give the first-season mystery a consequential sapphic strand. This is an ensemble family thriller in which Brooke's intimate decisions contribute to the larger web of secrets.
