A prominent Boston family discovers that its private history may be connected to a series of murders. As suspicion turns inward, political candidate Alison must also confront the life she has kept behind her public image. Her relationship with campaign manager Naomi creates a continuing conflict between personal attachment, marriage and professional calculation. Their affair is one developed strand of an ensemble mystery built around the consequences of concealment. This single-season drama is the 2016 series, separate from the earlier supernatural show that shares its title.
