Morgan and Jean are former girlfriends whose work on a podcast about women who murder keeps them closely involved in each other’s lives. Their familiarity offers comfort but also leaves questions about whether the relationship is truly over. When Morgan meets Simone through the neighborhood food co-op, a new attraction introduces uncertainty into that arrangement. Jean is suspicious of Simone, and Morgan finds it increasingly difficult to distinguish reasonable caution from the habits of someone who spends her days thinking about killers. The film turns a queer relationship triangle into a darkly comic mystery about trust. Its central question is not simply whether a person is dangerous, but how much anyone is willing to know before becoming involved.
