A group of longtime friends gathers in Napa Valley for a birthday weekend that has been planned more carefully than any of their feelings. Between tastings and shared meals, old habits begin to clash with the private worries each woman has brought along. Val, a lesbian antique-shop owner looking for connection again, finds herself attracted to a younger server, adding a different set of hopes to the trip. The group's familiarity provides comfort, but also makes it difficult to hide when life has stopped resembling the version presented from a distance. This ensemble comedy follows middle-aged women negotiating friendship, uncertainty and changing expectations. Val's romantic interest is one part of that larger portrait, allowing a queer co-lead to be funny, hopeful and vulnerable alongside her friends.
