Katie has built a public identity around an illness she does not have. Fundraising and support have brought her attention, friendship and a relationship with Jennifer, but maintaining the deception now requires more than a convincing appearance. When an application demands medical evidence, Katie faces a deadline that threatens the story on which her new life depends. Each effort to protect the lie places further pressure on the people who trust her. This psychological drama follows a young woman whose choices become harder to contain as their consequences spread. Her relationship with another woman is central to the personal stakes of the fraud, exposing the distance between the intimacy she wants and the dishonesty she believes she needs to keep it.
